Social Activities

Donation of a portion of sales to Hanahasu Park

NEOSEED®, a PFC-free water repellent developed with the environment and people in mind, was inspired by the structure of lotus leaves. As part of our environmental protection activities and to show our respect and appreciation for the lotus leaf that inspired NEOSEED®, we donated a portion of NEOSEED® sales to "Hanahasu Park" in Minami Echizen, a town in Fukui Prefecture that boasts the largest number of lotus plants in Japan. We will continue to make these donations to ensure that the park remains protected well into the future.

Support for international students

In 1994, the late EMORI Mikio, former Chairman of the Company, established the Emori Asian Foreign Student Scholarship Foundation. In its 28th year in 2022, the Foundation provides financial scholarships to international students from Asian countries entering or studying at universities in Fukui Prefecture. To date, 303 scholarship recipients have benefited from this program.

"IKOSSA NICCA," an event to boost interaction with local residents, was held at our Fukui Head Office.(IKOSSA NICCA means "Let's go to Nicca ! " in Fukui dialect.)
Over 200 residents attended this latest event, which has been held biennially since 2005 to express our appreciation for the understanding and cooperation of the local community. The event included a tour of NICCA Innovation Center, which was unveiled for the first time to the local community; chemistry experiments; a hands-on experience with a water fire extinguisher; and a variety of other events that provided enjoyment to attendees of all ages.
We will continue to strive to be a company that is loved by the local community.
